Monday - Friday | 8 AM - 5 PM
Full-time and part-time shifts available!What Youll Be Doing:<ul><li>Leading creative crafts, silly games, and fun-tastic themed activities</li><li>Jumping into the Westin Resort Pool to swim and play alongside the campers</li><li>Creating a safe, friendly, and inclusive space where every camper feels like a rockstar</li><li>Setting up activities, keeping things organized, and helping camp run smoothly</li><li>Being a role model, a lifeguard buddy, a cheerleader, and a memory-maker</li></ul>What You Bring to Kids Club:<ul><li>A love for kids and a passion for fun</li><li>Strong swimming skills - youll be in the pool daily!</li><li>Positive energy and patience (you might hear "watch this!" a hundred times, and youll love it)</li><li>Experience working with kids or in a camp setting</li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills</li><li>CPR and First Aid certified? Awesome! Not yet? La Paloma Resort in Tucson, Arizona is hiring for an on-call Camp Counselor! This position enhances the campers experience, while taking responsibility for their well-being and needs. As a counselor you will be implementing camp programs (including chaperoning specialty camps, field trips, physical activities, daily living skills, health, safety and events).Mondays from 9am-5pm | On-call - Tuesday-SundayResponsibilities:<ul><li>Assume responsibility of safety of the campers.</li><li>Follow camp objectives, rules, policies, guidelines and daily schedule.</li><li>Assist staff with all camp activities.</li><li>Serve as a positive role model for youth.</li><li>Create new activities and games.</li><li>Show a genuine interest in the campers.</li><li>Problem-solve through situations and seek assistance when necessary.</li><li>Maintain the recreation/camp center up to Pine Canyon standards.</li><li>Welcome all club members.</li><li>Be punctual and organized.</li><li>Participate enthusiastically.</li><li>Enhance and teach skills to the campers (guitar, basketball, art, etc.).</li><li>Attend scheduled meetings and trainings.</li><li>Arrive on time and with a positive attitude.</li><li>Follow directions.</li><li>Work to ensure all youth are comfortable, safe and feel that they are included.</li><li>Perform all other assigned duties.</li><li>Know camper's location at all times.</li><li>Enjoy the fun summer events!</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Exhibit characteristics of: Leadership, enthusiasm, patience, self-control, maturity, responsibility, great social skills, integrity and a positive attitude.</li><li>Experience working with children.</li><li>Ability to assist in teaching an activity.</li><li>Ability to accept guidance and supervision from staff.</li></ul>Hiring Process and Requirements:<ul><li>Application form.</li><li>Interview process.</li><li>Background check.</li><li>Attend training dates prior to starting.</li><li>CPR/1st Aide training.</li><li>Lifeguard certification (recommended).</li></ul>
