Pay is between $14.50 and $15.25 per hour for group counselors, $15.00 to $16.00 for Lead Counselors and Instructors (Music & Outdoor), and $16.00 to $16.25 for Camp Coordinators, with special consideration for those with previous Summer Camp experiences. The Northeast YMCA - Vickrey Ctr. is NOW on the lookout for great Summer Camp Counselors for our 5-12 Year Olds (Kidz & PreTeen Camps) and 13-15 Year Olds (Teens On Mission Camp)!! If you are at least 18 years or older, able to pass a Level 2 background screening, drug screening and love working with children in a camp environment, this may be the job for you! We are looking for individuals to engage and interact with our children and have fun leading them in camp songs, indoor/outdoor games, STEAM projects, adventures, and other Summer camp activities. Individuals must love children and be willing & able to stand and walk a lot to interact with children and attend the upcoming mandatory Summer Camp training on May 8th (Teambuilding), 9th (CPR.1st Aid & Child Abuse Training), May 15th (Teambuilding), and the 16th (Working with Children with Special Needs in Summer Camp & Meet the Counselor Event). Shift times may include: M-F 7:00am - 1:00pm, 12:00pm- 6:00pm, and a middle shift with varying hours.Pay is between $14.50 and $15.25 per hour for group counselors, $15.00 to $16.00 for Lead Counselors and Instructors (Music & Outdoor), and $16.00 to $16.25 for Camp Coordinators, with special consideration for those with previous Summer Camp experiences. Jobs at the YMCA of Northwest Florida are open to all, regardless of race, religion, gender, income, ability or age (except where minimum age requirements are mandatory). The Northeast YMCA is looking to fill positions in our Teen Summer Camp Program! We are looking for someone interested in engaging, interacting and making a difference in the life of a teen! If you love working with young teens and are available to work weekdays we would like to hear from you! As a Summer Camp Coach, you will have an opportunity to work with youth ages 13-15. Must be over the age of 21, have a valid Florida driver's license, and able to pass a level 2 background screening.We are looking for staff to join our team. This position will run from May 26th to August 7th, with plenty of opportunities for staying involved with the Y as we move into the school year. The YMCA provides its team members with a stream of development opportunities, starting with First Aid/CPR Training and Certification.
