FIRE SAFETY: Ability to assist in the inspection and testing of fire and life safety systems and fire evacuation drills; Ability to perform semi-skilled tasks in the inspection and testing of the University"s Fire Hydrants, and testing the University"s Eyewash, Shower and Drench Hose Stations; Ability to assist in the inspection and testing of Hydrants, Eye Wash, Emergency Shower & Drench Hoses as well as Elights and Exit Signs; ability to spend entire work shift navigating the campus, climbing ladders, working at heights up to 20 feet, and lifting / carrying up to 50 pounds; ability to navigate MS Office Suite, Apple products and apps to enter basic data into the University"s fire safety resources system; ability to work alone as well as in a team environment; Must be able to properly record time using AiM and record all work using proper ITM software. HVAC: Ability to lift 80 pounds, work outside, work in tight confined spaces, ability to follow all safety precautions and wear personal protective equipment; Ability to perform cleaning duties of mechanical & heating equipment as well as work and clean in machine rooms; Ability to carry, climb and work on a 8 ft step ladder; Possess an understanding of basic electrical and mechanical equipment such as heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.
