Machinery Operation: Operates trucks and construction or power equipment, including mechanized broom sweepers, side arm mowers, backhoes, man-lifts, dump trucks, road graders, front-end loaders, jet vacuum trucks, jackhammers, mowers, brush chippers, and other small equipment and tools to maintain street, utility, and infrastructure systems. The Equipment Operator II class is distinguished from Equipment Operator I by the complexity of equipment operated, and from Equipment Operator III, which performs advanced-level lead work, possesses demonstrated proficiency on all equipment types, and holds supervisory responsibilities.
