This position is the District Superintendent for the District and will be responsible for directing the overall activities of the district, which include natural and cultural resource management and protection, visitor services, interpretation, aquatic programs, facilities maintenance, capital outlay engineering, landscaping, property management, historic properties preservation, concessions, equipment, and administration including budget preparation and review, revenue collection, employee development and performance evaluation, and employee discipline. The mission of California State Parks is to provide for the health, inspiration, and education of the people of California by helping to preserve the state's extraordinary biological diversity, protecting its most valued natural and cultural resources, and creating opportunities for high-quality outdoor recreation.
