<ul><li>Conduct comprehensive pre-surgical assessments by evaluating patient health status, medical histories, and medications to proactively identify potential risks and ensure clinical readiness for anesthesia and surgery.</li><li>Empower patients and families through clear, empathetic pre-operative education, ensuring they fully understand their upcoming procedure, required preparations, and post-operative recovery plans.</li><li>Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to initiate physician consultations and order targeted pre-operative testing, guaranteeing all necessary clinical data is secured well before the surgery date.</li><li>Guide logistical and discharge planning with patients or their representatives regarding timing, transportation, and inpatient stays to ensure a seamless, stress-free transition through the care continuum.</li></ul>

What minimum qualifications you'll need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:<ul><li>Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.</li><li>BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.</li></ul>

What additional requirements you'll need:
<ul><li>Previous experience in perioperative or preadmission testing environments preferred</li><li>Proficiency in EMR documentation preferred</li><li>Knowledge of surgical preparation and patient education preferred</li></ul>
