This Fellowship is a 12-month opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to obtain invaluable education and clinical experience incardiothoracic surgery atIntermountain Medical Center, a level I trauma centerlocatedin Murray, Utah.?OneAdvanced Practice Provider (APP) Fellowswill spendthe majority of their year with thecardiacand thoracic teams; toseparate teams with a collaborative combination of APPs and surgeons in their respective fields. The APP is licensed, credentialed and privileged to perform such duties as maintenance and promotion of health and prevention of disease; assessment, diagnosis, treatment, correction, consultation, procedures as outlined by specialty, and referral for health problems; education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others; prescription or administration of prescription drugs or devices in accordance with a consultation and referral plan; consultation with other healthcare providers; appropriate and timely documentation of clinical care; and continually learning and developing for optimal patient care and outcomes.
