As a Postpartum Clinical Support Tech, you will: Provide compassionate, patient-centered support to postpartum mothers and newborns under the direction of licensed nursing staff Obtain and document maternal and neonatal vital signs and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team Assist with patient care following vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, gynecologic surgeries, and antepartum admissions Support families with basic newborn care, maternal comfort measures, safe sleep practices, and unit routines Assist nurses and providers with procedures, patient transport, and care coordination as needed Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, OB/GYNs, neonatologists, lactation consultants, and support staff Facilitate smooth transitions from Labor & Delivery to postpartum care and assist with coordination with Nursery/NICU teams Accurately document assigned patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR). Provides a variety of clerical tasks to include but not limited to organizing and prioritizing workload, greeting and directing visitors, researching information as requested by nurses and physicians, reviewing orders for logic and clarity, revising orders as requested by the nurse, answering the telephone/patient call lights, transcribing physician orders, and maintaining medical records.
