As a participant, you will contribute to high-quality research outcomes by responding thoughtfully to various tasks, including:
- AI Training & Evaluation: helping refine Large Language Models by ranking responses or providing creative prompts.
li>Identifies presence of Special Flood Hazard Areas on development sites; communicates necessary actions to ensure development meets local, State, and Federal requirements for construction within the floodplain; provides floodplain information to the public; may coordinate the Citys floodplain management program, including participation in the National Flood Insurance Program and Community Rating System. Employees hired into Limited Duration positions will be members of the AFSCME bargaining unit and covered by the contract except for items outlined below:
Limited Duration employees are at-will and do not have a probationary period; they accrue no seniority, have no bumping or layoff provisions, and have no discipline or discharge rights.
The member will assist in the following: Natural resource maintenance and conservation projects (including invasive species removal) (40%) Trails monitoring and vegetation management along 5 miles of trails (20%) Wildlife surveying from land, kayak, and/or vessel (15%) Interpretation and outreach (20%) Native plant establishment in support of the national pollinator initiatives (5%) *Please note percentages describe the estimated time allocated to each task over the course of the term. Major duties are related to assisting personnel in recreation, natural resource management, and related activities at the Bonneville Lock & Dam Project.
Working alongside operations staff and expert consultants, the team plays a central role in a wide variety of projects that maintain and improve the reliability of existing and new power generation systems, dams, water conveyance and flow control systems, fish passage systems, and associated ancillary facilities. As the supervisor of a team of engineering, planning, and surveying staff, you will lead the team's efforts to plan and implement essential work in support of ongoing operations and improvement projects at EWEB's hydroelectric and thermal power generation facilities.
Two years' experience working with survey mapping or geographic information systems; Cartographer/GIS Specialist 2 Education & Experience: Associates degree with major course work in computer science, geography, surveying, engineering, or a related field. Four years' experience working with survey mapping or geographic information systems; Or an equivalent combination of experience and training which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the job is qualifying.
