Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in backend software engineering, or related occupation, which must include the following experience: 3 years of professional Java development with Spring framework (Spring, or Spring Boot); 3 years of experience developing container-based (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm or similar technologies) cloud-native software, including: (a) design and development of production backend services for a public cloud (Azure or equivalent); and (b) instrumentation and use of observability (logging, metrics, and tracing) to operate or debug services; 2 years of experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures (Apache Kafka or similar); 2 years of working with relational or NoSQL databases for production systems including: schema design, SQL, and. performance optimization (PostgreSQL, Cassandra, or similar); Acting as technical lead for production initiatives including: authoring or reviewing design docs, technical contracts, coordinating implementation, and driving deployments or releases; Mentoring junior engineers on software best practices and providing technical guidance through code reviews, pairing, and design discussions; and Providing actionable technical feedback to peer or senior engineers through code reviews and design discussions.
