If you share our passion for design, art, and technology, we'd love to hear from you.<br/><br/><strong>Job Summary:<br/></strong>We're seeking an experienced Unreal Engine C++ Engineer to join our team at Imerza LLC, a fast-paced creative technology company. You'll play a key role in building and maintaining C++ plugins and tools for our large-scale Unreal Engine projects. We’re looking for someone with a strong portfolio and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.<br/><br/><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></div><ul><li>Write clean, high-performance, scalable C++ code.</li><li>Develop, modify, debug and maintain plugins and editor tools to streamline artist and developer workflows.</li><li>Build robust APIs and editor UIs that integrate with project content and pipelines.</li><li>Profile and optimize CPU/GPU performance, memory use, and load times for editor and runtime.</li><li>Collaborate with engineers, artists, and designers to iterate on tooling and feature requirements.</li><li>Participate in daily scrum meetings and contribute to the team’s iterative development process.</li><li>Produce clear technical documentation and usage guides; provide hands-on support to users when needed.</li></ul><div><br/></div><div><strong>Requirements:<br/>Technical Skills:</strong></div><ul><li>Shipped at least one Indie or AAA product in Unreal Engine 5.</li><li>Excellent proficiency in C++, with 4+ years of experience writing C++ in Unreal.</li><li>Deep understanding of Unreal Engine 5 gameplay framework and engine source.</li><li>Proficiency in profiling and optimizing CPU/GPU performance, memory, and multi-threading.</li><li>Solid 3D math background (linear algebra, transforms, quaternions); comfortable applying math to rendering and gameplay.</li><li>Understanding of version control and agile development practices.</li></ul><div><strong><br/>Soft Skills:</strong></div><ul><li>Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking.</li><li>Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Availability for core working hours (US EST).</li></ul>

You’ll lead efforts to build, optimize, and integrate advanced systems that power our architectural and experiential visualization projects.<br/> <br/>This position combines technical mastery with leadership — you’ll work alongside engineers, artists, and project leads to define standards, mentor developers, and contribute to our next generation of real-time rendering and simulation systems.<br/> </div><div><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></div><ul><li>Lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced real-time systems in Unreal Engine 5.</li><li>Build and extend core runtime features including: Interactive cameras and slice-plane systems. </li><li>Dynamic lighting, time-of-day, and environmental effects. </li><li>UMG and in-engine tools for interaction and visualization control.</li><li>Drive large-scale scene optimization using Nanite, Lumen, World Partition, and PCG.</li><li>Develop reusable Unreal frameworks, documentation, and pipelines to improve efficiency and maintain consistency across teams.</li><li>Collaborate with engineers, artists, and producers to ensure seamless integration between systems and client-facing deliverables.</li><li>Troubleshoot performance, rendering, and system-level challenges with efficiency and precision.</li><li>Mentor mid-level and junior developers, fostering growth in Unreal best practices and creative problem solving.</li><li>Contribute to technical planning and help define the studio’s Unreal Engine roadmap.<strong><br/> </strong></li></ul><div><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></div><ul><li>6+ years of professional experience developing in Unreal Engine (UE5 preferred).</li><li>Expert knowledge of C++ and Blueprints, Unreal Editor tools, and runtime system architecture.</li><li>Proven experience creating interactive features, procedural tools, and scalable systems.</li><li>Deep understanding of large environment workflows, dynamic lighting, and real-time rendering optimization.</li><li>Familiarity with Perforce, Git, or equivalent version control tools.</li><li>Strong technical documentation and communication skills.</li><li>A proactive, collaborative leader with a track record of mentoring or leading technical teams.</li><li>Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities across multidisciplinary projects.<strong><br/> </strong></li></ul><div><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></div><ul><li>Experience with VR/XR systems or virtual production pipelines (nDisplay, LED walls).</li><li>Knowledge of Unreal networking/replication or database integration (MySQL).</li><li>Experience with Datasmith, CAD data, or architectural visualization workflows.</li><li>Familiarity with automation, Python, or build systems for Unreal projects.</li><li>Understanding of projection mapping or real-time performance environments.<br/><br/></li></ul><div><strong>Additional Requirements:</strong></div><ul><li>Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.</li><li>This position is based in Sarasota, FL.
