Typical metering experience includes an ability to read protection & control drawings, understanding of instrument transformers including type, accuracy, & burden (CT, PTs, CVTs), familiarity with a variety of metering technologies with a focus on Schneider Electric ION-8650 meters, understanding of meter to meter (peer to peer) schemes, familiarity with iron (Fe) and copper (Cu) loss compensation methods for transformers, generator tie line loss compensation, sharing losses amongst different technologies or PPA customers, and the ability to program meters or create metering templates. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, experience with commercial/contractual agreements, strong knowledge of overall substation design, and knowledge of complex metering systems.
