Four (4) years of full-time diesel mechanical experience with an emphasis on electrical and electronics systems, emissions, and other areas of diesel technology which involve engines, fuel injection troubleshooting, fuel injection test bench operations, preventative maintenance and/or on-site power generation. Overview:
The faculty will be responsible for educational leadership, student instruction, and student advising in the Diesel Equipment Technology area. Qualifications:
EDUCATION<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Diesel Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related discipline. Required</li></ul>LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS<ul><li>AED and ASE certified in Medium/Heavy Duty Truck in one or more areas: engines, suspension/steering, brakes, electronics/PM/HVAC and drive train or will attain by the end of the first year of employment. Preferred</li></ul>EXPERIENCE<ul><li>Four (4) years of full-time diesel mechanical experience with an emphasis on electrical and electronics systems, emissions, and other areas of diesel technology which involve engines, fuel injection troubleshooting, fuel injection test bench operations, preventative maintenance and/or on-site power generation. Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Instruct and evaluate student performance in diesel and heavy equipment technology in electrical and electronic systems and emissions, engine assembly and overhaul, fuel injection troubleshooting, , preventive maintenance, and/or on-site power generation.</li><li>Advise, schedule, and maintain accurate records on students.</li><li>Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines.</li><li>Write and update course syllabi; assist with curriculum review, revision, and development.</li><li>Engage in professional development and technological upgrading activities.</li><li>Contribute to betterment of College through School committee participation.</li><li>Assume responsibility for laboratory development, coordination, and maintenance.</li></ul>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Contribute to the betterment of the College through College-wide committee participation.</li><li>Assist with the preparation of grant proposals and with follow-up activities.</li></ul>

Physical Standards and Special Job Features:
Lift 60 pounds. Physical condition sufficient to crawl under and climb onto/off of large diesel trucks.

Pay Transparency:
Commensurate with credentials submitted as applied to the College’s Faculty Salary System. As a point of reference, the salary range for new full-time faculty hired in various disciplines throughout the College for the 2025/26 academic year is $61,969 – $79,813.
