Our engineers and space scientists are on a mission to eliminate the connectivity gaps faced by today's five billion mobile subscribers and finally bring broadband to the billions who remain unconnected.</div>Position OverviewAST SpaceMobile is currently seeking a skilled Information Technology (IT) Technician to support end users, maintain enterprise hardware and software systems, and contribute to the reliability and efficiency of IT operations. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, ideal for someone who excels in troubleshooting, customer service, and adapting quickly in a growing environment.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide technical support to end users for workstations, servers, and mobile devices (hardware and software).</li><li>Support and maintain Office 365 applications for users.</li><li>Prepare, deploy, and ship new hardware to remote sites and end users.</li><li>Assist with deployment of on-premises hardware including routers, switches, Ethernet cabling, servers, workstations, monitors, and printers.</li><li>Manage user accounts in on-premises Active Directory and cloud-based identity providers (Azure AD, LastPass).</li><li>Perform software installations, patches, and upgrades to maintain system security and integrity.</li><li>Troubleshoot issues to isolate and diagnose common hardware and software problems.</li><li>Create and maintain accurate systems documentation.</li><li>Escalate complex issues to subject matter experts when required.</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li></ul>QualificationsEducation:<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred.</li><li>IT-related certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, VMware) are a plus.</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>A minimum of 2+ years in desktop support, help desk, or customer support roles.</li><li>Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office in a technical support capacity.</li><li>Hands-on experience with hardware maintenance including racking servers, deploying workstations, and setting up peripheral devices.</li><li>General knowledge of networking fundamentals (OSI model, TCP/IP, protocols, routing, firewalls).</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.</li><li>Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations as needed.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, VMware.</li><li>Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware).</li><li>Familiarity with cloud IaaS platforms (AWS or Azure).</li><li>Experience with Cisco Meraki network infrastructure.</li><li>Experience supporting macOS, iOS, and Android devices.</li></ul>Soft Skills<ul><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy of documentation and deliverables.</li><li>Customer service mindset and ability to learn new technologies quickly.</li></ul>Technology Stack<ul><li>Operating Systems: Windows, macOS, iOS, Android.</li><li>Identity & Access: Active Directory, Azure AD, LastPass.</li><li>Productivity & Collaboration: Office 365, Teams.</li><li>Networking: Routers, switches, firewalls, TCP/IP, Meraki environments.</li><li>Virtualization: Hyper-V, VMware.</li><li>Cloud Services: AWS, Azure.</li><li>Hardware: Servers, workstations, printers, mobile devices, cabling.</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Rack servers, run cables, crawl under desks, and work with hardware in office and data center environments.</li><li>Ability to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periods.</li></ul>This job description may not be inclusive of all duties and responsibilities. Key Responsibilities As an Information Systems Technician, design, operate, secure, and restore networks, servers, and communication systems that support naval operations; as a Cryptologic Technician Networks specialist, conduct offensive and defensive cyber operations, investigate and track adversary activity, and help protect Navy networks and critical systems; as an Intelligence Specialist, collect and analyze information on adversaries, environments, and weather and create intelligence products and briefings for commanders.
