Remote work is not available at this time.</div><div>JOB SUMMARY:This employee is to perform routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers and check cashing accurately and efficiently. Duties/Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform routine member transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments transfers and check cashing.</li><li>Issue official checks, process cash advances and sell gift cards.</li><li>Receive share deposits and loan and credit card payments.</li><li>Receive payments for mortgage, installment and share secured loans, ensuring that payments equal the amount due and that all late charges, if applicable, are collected.</li><li>Provide members with the forms necessary to transact business at the credit union.</li><li>Examine checks for endorsements and negotiability.</li><li>Provide members with proper receipts for payments.</li><li>Respond to member's requests, problems and complaints, and/or direct them to the proper person for specific information and assistance.</li><li>Provide members with account status, including current balances and loan payoffs.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul> Required Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.</li><li>Must have knowledge of office machines and equipment and be able to type.</li><li>Patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the members and general public.</li></ul> Education/Experience:<ul><li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li><li>Must be a graduate of an accredited high school or have the equivalent of a high school diploma (G.E.D. certificate).</li><li>Must have knowledge of office machines and equipment and be able to type.</li></ul> General Requirements:Must be capable to execute all terms and conditions set forth in the Employee Handbook, including but not limited to:<ul><li>Works in a safety conscious manner which ensures that safe work practices are used in order not to pose a risk to self or others in the workplace.</li><li>Adheres to policy on Drug Free Workplace.</li><li>Complies with company policies and procedures and local, state and federal regulations.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li>Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.</li><li>Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.</li></ul> State Employees Credit Union offers a highly competitive benefits packageApplications must be received by Human ResourcesState Employees Credit Union of New Mexico is an Equal Opportunity EmployerEqual Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.</div>

You will be a trusted financial resource to existing and potential members by assisting with routine financial transactions at an exceptional service level. You will use a consultative approach to evaluate, educate, and fulfill member financial needs, referring members to specialized departments when necessary.What you'll do: <ul><li>Processes member financial transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, laws, and regulations, with a high degree of accuracy.</li><li>Financial transactions include, but are not limited to, cash, negotiable instruments, account transfers, and loan/credit card payments.</li><li>Assists members by assessing needs and educating on available products utilizing a needs-based sales approach and refers members to specialized departments as needed.</li><li>Assist in a variety of tasks to ensure efficient office operations including opening and closing procedures.</li><li>Operate as a vault teller and is responsible for vault cash duties including cash ordering.</li><li>Assist management with training and development of new and existing tellers. </li></ul>What you'll need:<ul><li>One to three years of similar or related experience.</li><li>Previous banking experience preferred.</li><li>Equivalent to a high school education.</li></ul>Key skills and experience: <ul><li>Advance knowledge of service delivery operations.</li><li>Accuracy in numbers, procedural detail, processing and balancing negotiable instruments.</li><li>Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.</li><li>Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate.</li></ul> Nusenda Credit Union is an equal opportunity employer.
