The Staff Accountant will assist in month-end processes, prepare journal entries, and perform general bookkeeping. This position will prepare data for the internal and external auditors and will work on special projects as requested.This is a full-time temporary contract of up to 6 months. This role is hybrid two days a week in office.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist in the month-end, half-year, and year-end financial submissions </li><li>Prepare and posting of journal entries</li><li>Perform and assist with account and bank reconciliations</li><li>Assist with Budget preparation and Analysis</li><li>Prepare and gather data for external and internal auditors</li><li>Set up new vendor files and W-9 tracking</li><li>Manage customer contract files, calculate commission and rebates payments</li><li>Data Analysis and Reporting to support sales and margin objectives</li><li>Backup for setting up new customer files</li><li>Audit inventory transactions and daily low margin reporting</li><li>Implement price changes in ERP system</li><li>Assist with other corporate accounting duties and special projects as directed by Management</li><li style="list-style-type:none"/></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in accounting required</li><li>Minimum of o1-3 years in accounting experience</li><li>Extensive knowledge of Excel and Word</li><li>Prefer experience with Hyperion Reporting Software</li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills</li><li>Possess ability to work independently and as a team player</li><li>Must be accurate and detailed oriented</li><li>Excellent customer service skills</li><li>Ability to prioritize multiple tasks</li><li>Must be high energy and self-motivated</li><li>Concur Administrative experience strongly preferred</li><li>Treasury experience preferred</li><li>Saturdays and holidays may be required during month-end</li></ul>Bunzl is a global leader in the Cleaning & Hygiene, Food Processing, Grocery, Health Care, Non‑Food Retail, and Safety industries. Overview: The Bilingual International Accounting Clerk provides support to our Latin American and other international entities by working with third party service providers and internal customers ensuring timely payments and filings. This position requires work to be performed on-site four days per week, with up to one day per week working from home possible after training period.

Overview:
The Bilingual International Accounting Clerk provides support to our Latin American and other international entities by working with third party service providers and internal customers ensuring timely payments and filings. English and Spanish speaking, reading and writing is required.

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>Review, coordinate, and obtain approvals to prepare international accounts payable invoices for payment processing. Code and/or input for payment.</li><li>Review and process expense reports utilizing Certify software.</li><li>Maintain a strong relationship with our external accounting and legal service providers who support our international operations.</li><li>Assist in reconciliation of foreign entity financial information to corporate accounting records.</li><li>Provide support as needed for internal and external audits.</li><li>Regular and reliable attendance in the office is required.</li><li>This position requires work to be performed on-site four days per week, with up to one day per week working from home possible after training period.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.</li><li>Prior accounts payable, general accounting or international accounting experience is required.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or similar field is preferred. </li><li>Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand both English and Spanish.</li><li>Six or more months related experience preferred.   </li><li>Some experience with regulatory and compliance in Latin America is desirable.</li></ul>We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.Company-paid background check, including credit check, required upon hire.
