Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Self motivated, responsible, dependable, mechanically inclined with the ability to work independently and take direction. Some computer usage required. Current vehicle liability insurance and a valid driver’s license required. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Essential Functions:<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li>Assist with regular, routine maintenance and repairs at all YFS facilities. </li><li>Oversee grounds maintenance at all YFS facilities. </li><li>Assist with lawn care and snow removal, as needed. </li><li>Maintain custodial supply inventory. </li><li>Perform light custodial operations as required to maintain a safe and healthy operating environment. </li><li>Assist with heavy custodial operations, like carpet extraction. </li><li>Assist with oversight of custodial contract performance, as directed by supervisor. </li><li>Assist with setup and teardown for special events. </li><li>Assist Facilities Manager with maintenance manual updates and documentation. </li><li>Provide backup coverage in the absence of the Facilities Manager. </li><li>Demonstrate creativity, self motivation and independence. </li><li>Be on call for emergency maintenance work. </li><li>Assist with staff training pertaining to facility use, maintenance, security, and safety. </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.</li></ul>Environmental Functions:Perform duties in a varied environment. Will be required to drive and work flexible hours. Some overtime may be required, as determined by supervisor. Some use of personal vehicle may be required. Availability of a personal pickup truck will be beneficial. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. A Brief OverviewThe Seasonal Maintenance Support Specialist is a temporary position that provides assistance to the maintenance team in all phases of grounds and property maintenance. This role is tasked with light repairs to residential units, landscape maintenance, and some housekeeping duties. What you will do<ul><li>Perform duties in the support of the Maintenance Director/Manager, COM and Warehouse teams.</li><li>Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors and leasing office, parking lots and other community buildings.</li><li>Assist in housekeeping duties for office areas area on daily basis.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of market ready units.</li><li>Assists managers with assigned maintenance tasks.</li><li>Assist in the cleaning of available units, to include carpet cleaning (where applicable).</li><li>Meticulously maintain curb appeal.</li><li>Assist in maintaining playgrounds and other outdoor amenities.</li><li>General painting as assigned.</li><li>Represent the property in a professional manner, at all times.</li><li>Immediately report all unsafe conditions to direct supervisor.</li><li>Reliable and dependable attendance and punctuality are essential for this position.</li><li>Understand and follow the proper use of equipment and chemicals including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) Required</li><li>General knowledge of basic repairs and facility maintenance.</li><li>Requires a self-motivated, team player who pays close attention to detail and who can prioritize in a fast-moving environment.</li><li>Reliable and dependable attendance and punctuality are essential for this position.</li><li>Must have reliable transportation.</li><li>DL NUMBER - Driver's License, Valid and in State Required</li></ul>CompensationWe are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation.
