Under general supervision performs maintenance and repairs of equipment throughout the plant that may involve various trades including, trouble shooting, mechanical repair, minor electrical repairs/installations, welding, carpentry, and preventative maintenance and other job duties as required. Possess basic principles, methods and techniques related to machine repair in an industrial facility.

JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision performs maintenance and repairs of equipment throughout the plant that may involve various trades including, trouble shooting, mechanical repair, minor electrical repairs/installations, welding, carpentry, and preventative maintenance and other job duties as required JOB DUTIES: <ul><li>knowledgeable about plant equipment, machinery and processes </li><li>General repair work on building and physical structures</li><li>Under general supervision will trouble shoot and resolve mechanical issues on equipment</li><li>Communicates and provides feedback to supervision on issues related to downtime and repairs </li><li>Will perform minor electrical repairs/installations under general supervisions </li><li>Cleans and rebuilds parts and equipment as needed to support the manufacturing process </li><li>Informs lead of parts needed to maintain inventory levels </li><li>Ability to do job duties in a timely manner</li><li>Handle special projects as required </li><li>Report to supervisor through-out the day on issues that might arise</li><li>Promote and practice safe work habits within department</li><li>Ability to work from electrical schematics, diagrams, sketches, verbal instruction and rough outlines</li><li>Follows guidelines on proper lock out and tag out procedures </li><li>Follows 5s principals and policies</li></ul> QUALIFICATIONS: <ul><li>3-5 years maintenance experience</li><li>Possess basic principles, methods and techniques related to machine repair in an industrial facility</li><li>General knowledge of electrical and safe work practices in an industrial environment</li><li>Ability to perform walking, standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, crawling, pushing/pulling </li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs.</li><li>Ability to work around dust, chemical, fumes and fiberglass particles</li><li>Manual dexterity</li><li>Have good quality & safety habits</li><li>Have good attendance habits</li><li>Ability to drive forklifts, tractors, and scissor lift</li></ul>
