The Preschool Teacher Aide will assist the Preschool Teacher in preparing children for elementary school by developing their vocabulary, social skills, behavior and will effectively create and deliver academic preschool curriculum. Main Responsibilities:Assist in supporting the planning and conducting an effective child development program to meet the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of each child based upon stated goals and a curriculum plan.

SUMMARY The Preschool Teacher Aide will assist the Preschool Teacher in preparing children for elementary school by developing their vocabulary, social skills, behavior and will effectively create and deliver academic preschool curriculum. Main Responsibilities:<ul><li style="margin-bottom:11px">Assist in supporting the planning and conducting an effective child development program to meet the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of each child based upon stated goals and a curriculum plan.</li><li>Follows implemented daily schedule and activity plans.  Assists in arranging room play and materials to accommodate the daily schedule.  Assists in setting up displays and bulletin boards.</li><li>May assist in accurately document attendance, absentees, and current emergency records for each child.</li></ul>Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Creates a pleasant, inviting atmosphere for children.  Ensures the safety and sanitation of children through constant supervision, effective arrangement of space, proper maintenance of equipment, etc.</li><li>Completes and submits required reports such as: incident reports, in an accurate and timely manner.</li><li>Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings as requested and be prepared to coordinate, research, and share resources with other facilitators.</li><li>Assists in appropriate play and learning activities to foster individual and group activity development.  Leads children in songs, games, finger plays and other activities.</li><li>Able to maintain confidentiality of program information.</li></ul>Mandatory Certifications:<ul><li>Complete required ASYMCA safety trainings </li><li>CPR and First Aid Certification</li><li>Maintain a valid child abuse history clearance.  </li><li>Successfully complete the State Police Criminal Record Check and F.B.I. fingerprints screening.  Results are required at time of hire.</li></ul>Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. -The employee frequently is required to sit and reach and must be able to move around the work environment. -Sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to safely supervise children’s activities. -The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds.  -Prioritizes and ability to multi-task requiring good memory, concentrations, and analytical thinking. Work Environment: The work environment is generally set in a classroom like setting, may be required to venture outside for children’s activities.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Travel: Travel is not required for this position. Job Details:
GENERAL SUMMARY:  Act as the point of contact for customers.  Assist in setting and maintaining plan-o-grams and programs. Stock merchandise adequately.  Perform other duties as necessary to maximize profitability, customer satisfaction, and teamwork, while protecting company assets. DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  <ul style="margin-top:1px"><li>Unload trucks.</li><li>Follow company work processes to receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move directly to sales floor.</li><li>Build merchandise displays.</li><li>Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.</li><li>Restock recovered merchandise.</li><li>Assist customers by locating merchandise.</li><li>Bail cardboard and take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restroom and stockroom.</li><li>Comply with company policies and procedures.</li><li>Greet customers.</li><li>Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase; bag merchandise.</li><li>Collect payment from customer and make change.</li><li>Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners, as needed.</li><li>Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS: <ul><li style="color:#000000;font-family:'verdana' , sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.</li><li style="color:#000000;font-family:'verdana' , sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Understanding of safety policies and practices.</li><li style="color:#000000;font-family:'verdana' , sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.</li><li style="color:#000000;font-family:'verdana' , sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.</li><li style="color:#000000;font-family:'verdana' , sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Basic mathematical skills.</li><li style="color:#000000;font-family:'verdana' , sans-serif;font-size:10pt">Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.</li></ul>WORK EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION: <ul><li style="color:#000000">High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</li></ul>Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
