Must be able to demonstrate the ability to apply critical thinking skills in rendering solutions to various issues that arise in the area of responsibility; must be able to effectively communicate with school staff, students, families, and law enforcement professionals; extensive communications (verbal and written) is required; will be responsible for managing witnesses and others when handling or responding to incidents; requires the use of sound judgment; and possess the ability to work with everyone. Under the indirect supervision of the School Security Sergeant, performs a wide variety of duties involved in the enforcement of laws, prevention of crimes, and maintaining the security of the school campus, students, faculty, and visitors of the school; conducts liaison between school administration, law enforcement agencies, and the public in support of the school’s goals and objectives; fosters relationships with the students, their families, and the faculty.
