Addresses escalated or unresolved issues; assists the Security Manager with shift staffing, organizational planning, budget preparation, staff development, and Committee Chair responsibilities; for those security officers who are responsible for operating a vehicle, operates in a safe and responsible manner to avoid accidents and traffic or parking violations; abides by and enforces all compliance requirements and policies and performs these responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with the organization’s values; adheres to hospital policies including confidentiality; assists with orientation of new employees as assigned; assists in the implementation of a new system of receiving, logging, storing, and releasing of patient valuables and belongings; supervises and participates in ground post duties in the daily operations of the hospital security; maintains accurate and complete records such as: shift logs, activity reports, incident reports, etc. Responsibilities: Serves as team leader for assigned security officers to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors; participates in the process of monitoring, guiding and evaluating staff performance; contributes to efficient operations by assisting with coordinating activities, prioritizing workflow and promoting decision-making and problem solving; performs the duties of a security officer; models and promotes teamwork and cooperation amongst staff.
