You will work closely with the Transportation Department and the Vice President of Operations based out our Louisa, Kentucky location. You will be an essential part of our team that has been servicing customers and delivering fine foods since 1942. Responsibilities:<ul><li style="margin-left:8px">Provide daily work direction to delivery drivers to ensure safe and efficient operations and to meet customer requirements; maintain daily activity assignments of tractors, trailers, trucks, and drivers.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Monitor daily activity to make necessary adjustments in load assignments, special delivery, or pick-up instructions while effectively communicating with members, customers, drivers, and dispatch.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Create employee schedules and take appropriate actions to meet established goals.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Ensure compliance with any DOT regulations; keep informed of regulatory and logistical issues.</li><li style="margin-left:8px">Ensure employees achieve performance expectations through training/coaching; routine driver audits or observation of safety; operational efficiency; compliance requirements (DOT); annual reviews.</li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px">Be available to respond to emergencies or other unexpected operational requirements (i.e. nights, weekends, or holidays). Participate in on-call rotation if possible.</li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li style="margin-bottom:11px">High School Graduate or equivalent (GED) required.
