The SC will work collaboratively with the other SCs, Case Managers, and Management to promote a safe and nurturing community environment. The SC is an essential position, which means that the job functions are necessary to conduct agency business even when the agency is not operating normally.This is a temporary position from 12AM-8AM Monday- Friday Essential Functions:<ul><li>Monitor the activities of residents to ensure the safety of residents, staff, and guest(s)</li><li>Provide on-going support to residents when necessary</li><li>Maintain written and oral communication of incidents in accordance with agency policies in shift turnover log</li><li>Supervise and assist residents with daily cleanup.</li><li>Enforce New Reach policies and follows staff policies and procedures</li><li>Monitor supplies and communicate needs to Program Manager(s)</li><li>Communicate with other staff and maintain the turnover log</li><li>This position is considered essential which means that the job functions are necessary to conduct agency business even when the agency is not operating normally. Employees designated as essential are expected to report to or remain at work when the agency has a delayed opening, early release, or closure</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalency required</li><li>Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries in working with clients</li><li>Assertiveness, creativity and ability to work independently or with a team</li><li>Knowledge of community resources and systems</li><li>Demonstrated initiative, good judgment and self-direction</li><li>Access to reliable transportation</li><li>Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office</li><li>Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred</li><li>Experience with homelessness preferred</li><li>Knowledge of and sensitivity to women's issues (domestic violence, sexual abuse etc.)</li></ul>If you are looking for something new and exciting and want to join a fast growing and innovative organization, we'd love to work with you!EEO/VET EmployerIf you are excited to join New Reach's team, apply to: http://newreach.org/content/careers/
