The successful candidate will work closely with traders, operations, and finance teams, gaining valuable exposure to the commodities markets.Essential Functions<ul><li>Trade Capture and Confirmation: Accurately capture and confirm all commodity trades (physical and derivatives) in the trading system, ensuring adherence to internal controls and procedures.</li><li>Trade Lifecycle Management: Monitor the complete trade lifecycle, from execution to settlement, resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely processing.</li><li>Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of trading positions, P&L, and inventory, identifying and resolving any variances.</li><li>Risk Management Support: Assist in monitoring market risk, credit risk, and operational risk, ensuring compliance with risk limits and policies.</li><li>Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports on trading activity, positions, and P&L. The Logistics, Materials & Trade Compliance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving operations, materials handling, inventory movement, and production planning support while ensuring full compliance with all international trade regulations. This role supervises daily logistics and warehouse activities, coordinates domestic and international shipments, and owns the accuracy and timeliness of import/export documentation.

The Logistics, Materials & Trade Compliance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving operations, materials handling, inventory movement, and production planning support while ensuring full compliance with all international trade regulations. This role supervises daily logistics and warehouse activities, coordinates domestic and international shipments, and owns the accuracy and timeliness of import/export documentation. The position ensures efficient material flow, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across logistics and supply chain operations. Essential Duties<ul><li>Materials Handling & Inventory Control
• Oversee material movement, storage, and handling to support production and order fulfillment.
• Ensure accurate inventory transactions, labeling, and documentation within ERP systems.
• Support cycle counting, inventory accuracy initiatives, and root cause analysis for variances.
• Maintain proper material flow, space utilization, and warehouse organization.</li><li>Planning & Coordination
• Support production and materials planning activities to ensure material availability.
• Coordinate priorities between purchasing, production, and logistics teams.
• Monitor material shortages, expedite as needed, and communicate risks to stakeholders.
• Assist with capacity planning and workload balancing within logistics operations.</li><li>International Trade Compliance
• Ensure compliance with all applicable import/export regulations, including U.S. Customs, CBP, EAR, ITAR (as applicable), and foreign trade requirements.
• Prepare, review, and maintain accurate trade documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, HS classifications, and export filings.
• Maintain and manage HTS classifications, country of origin determinations, and export control data.
• Serve as primary point of contact for customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies.
• Support audits, recordkeeping, and corrective actions related to trade compliance.</li><li>People Leadership & Continuous Improvement
• Supervise, train, and develop logistics and materials team members.
• Enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards within the warehouse and shipping areas.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, and compliance risk mitigation.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for logistics and trade compliance activities.</li></ul> Essential Requirements<ul><li>Proficiency in using ERP systems for daily management. SAP experience preferred.</li><li>Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.</li><li>Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to multitask and change priorities to support business needs.</li><li>Familiarity with HTS classification, Incoterms, and export controls.</li></ul> Additional Requirements<ul><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools.</li><li>Certifications in supply chain management, such as APICS CPIM or CSCP, are a plus.</li><li>Education & Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-5 years of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, materials management, or warehouse operations.
• Working knowledge of international trade compliance and import/export documentation.
• Experience supervising hourly or operational teams.
