Put Your Electrical Expertise to Work Protecting Our Community! <div></div>Estimated Hiring Salary Range: $54,102 - $83,032  Full Salary Range: $54,102 - $112,924Based on qualifications, candidates may be hired at one of the following levels:<ul><li>Trades Inspector I: $54,102 – $71,187 </li><li>Trades Inspector II: $58,430 – $76,882 </li><li>Trades Inspector Sr.: $63,104 – $83,032 </li></ul>Signing Bonus Eligible PositionSupplemental Pay Opportunities for Additional Certifications:<ul><li>$2,400 annually – one additional trade certificate </li><li>$4,800 annually – two additional trade certificates </li><li>$7,200 annually – three or more trade certificates </li></ul>Candidates must obtain or be prequalified for an Electrical Standard Certificate Level I, II "OR" III with DOI prior to starting in the position. This position plays a critical role in protecting public safety by ensuring electrical installations meet N.C. State Building Codes </li><li>Conduct field inspections of wiring, equipment, and electrical systems </li><li>Perform plan reviews of electrical drawings and construction documents </li><li>Investigate complaints and recommend corrective actions </li><li>Communicate inspection findings verbally and in writing </li><li>Maintain accurate inspection documentation and reports </li><li>Ensure compliance with OSHA safety policies and procedures </li><li>Work in environments that may include outdoor weather conditions, confined spaces, heights, exposure to loud environments, and electrical hazards</li><li>Engage in physical activities such as walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crawling, and climbing ladders to access rooftops, attics, and equipment </li></ul> Mechanical Standard Level I and Plumbing Standard Level I certifications must be obtained within 2 years of hire in order to remain in the position.
