Nationwide Southwest is seeking a new Business Development Manager (Outside Sales) to cover Kansas.  In this role you will work directly with independent retailers serving all the needs in the home furnishings category. **This position will require travel and the candidate will need to reside in the geography of the territory.** Benefits/Perks: <ul><li>Company car</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Vision insurance</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Paid vacation</li><li>Simple IRA with company match</li><li>Company issued equipment (laptop iPad, printer)</li><li>Work-related expense covered</li></ul>  As The District Sales Manager, You Will   <ul><li>Responsible for selling and promoting all programs & services offered by Nationwide Southwest to new and existing members in the assigned territory.</li><li>Execute and deliver all sales and operating plan goals.</li><li>Identify new business opportunities and develop marketing strategies to grow the territory.</li><li>Build strong relationships through solution selling and resolve issues that arise.</li><li>Analyze market and sales strategy.</li><li>Analyze competitive landscape and determine opportunities.</li><li>Develop and conduct sales training.</li><li>Perform administrative functions to meet the needs of all our members.</li><li>Ability to cold call prospective accounts and turn the opportunity from a prospect to a purchasing account. </li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li>Proven experience in a business development role and / or sales related field - Minimum 5 yrs. experience.</li><li>Examples of meeting or exceeding sales targets and goals.</li><li>Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills (because in this role, communication is KEY)</li><li>The ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Familiarity with Salesforce software and Microsoft Office Suite preferred. </li><li>Self-motivated and results-driven – Must be a TEAM Player with the ability to also work independently.</li><li>Must be willing to travel and  stay overnight in territory. </li></ul>
