Legal Secretary(Orlando, Full-time, Hybrid)Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Legal Secretary to join our team. In this essential role, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our services, directly supporting our attorneys in delivering exceptional client service and upholding our commitment to excellence.Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Formatting briefs, pleadings, correspondence and other legal documents.</li><li>Filing of legal documents with state and federal courts (e-filing knowledge a plus).</li><li>Regularly and accurately proofreads all documents to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to distribution or filing.</li><li>Update and maintaining client files.</li><li>Maintain attorney calendars through Outlook and Aderant Milana (i.e. scheduling appointments, calendaring due dates, etc.).</li><li>Organize and coordinate travel arrangements for assigned attorneys.</li><li>Accurately entering, reviewing and revising timekeeper timesheets including consistent identification of litigation codes when applicable.</li><li>Preparing attorney reimbursements and mileage.</li><li>Consistently providing friendly and helpful telephone support for assigned attorneys and/or receptionist relief.</li><li>Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of vendor invoices; prepare accurate check requests and timely submit invoices for payment to client or accounting.</li><li>Participate in the timely review and submission of pre-bills and/or client bills.</li></ul>Requirements <ul><li>Minimum of a high school diploma required (College degree is preferred, but not required).</li><li>A minimum of five years of experience as a legal secretary is required.</li><li>Experience with Lexis Nexis, Pacer, ECF, Aderant Milana, and Concur.</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of legal terminology, legal documents, and legal processes in the Litigation Department, including the ability to mark and generate a table of contents and table of authorities.</li><li>Strong computer proficiency in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Document Management Systems, Time Entry, e-filing and database software.</li></ul>Why Join UsAt Fisher Phillips, we recognize that exceptional talent is the foundation of our success, enabling us to deliver outstanding service to both our internal and external clients.
