Our Translation’s team duty is to ensure that clear communication gets translated in both written and call conversations. The Interpreter helps facilitate communication between our non-Spanish speaking adjusters and our Spanish speaking clients. You will help our department complete implemented deadline tasks when non-busy hours come around. As an interpreter, you will respond to urgent requests from our adjusters who are seeking translation support from the team! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Convert both digital and spoken material from English/Spanish - Spanish/English 
- Respond to urgent requests from our adjusters 
- Meet our deadline tasks (voicemails, scanning & uploading mail, and paying out monthly checks) 
- Participate in helping the team grow by providing suggestions/ideas to help facilitate workload 
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information in accordance with company policies QUALIFICATIONS: 
-Have strong skills in translating communication from English/Spanish - Spanish/English 
-Ability to convert conversations right after a prompt is given. 
-Ability to multitask & work with various screens/ tabs at a time. 
-Exceptional communication and understanding with team meetings/conversations

Provide oral translation services for communication with parents. Provide interpreting services during Speech Language therapy sessions.All employees of Spring ISD are expected to act with integrity, support and demonstrate our core values, communicate in a clear and respectful manner and seek to continuously improve self- performance and processes.QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>High School graduate or GED from an accredited institution</li><li>48 hours of college coursework</li><li>Pass Spring ISD's NCLB test in the areas of Reading, Writing and Mathematics</li></ul>PREFERRED:<ul><li>Experience as a translator of written documents</li><li>Have an associate's (or higher) degree from an accredited college or university</li><li>Experience in a public school setting.</li></ul>SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: (use descriptive words, i.e expertise in, excellent communications etc.)<ul><li>Ability to draft, edit and produce the final copy of documents submitted for translation from English to Spanish and vice versa.</li><li>Understanding of the nuances of both the Spanish and English language in order to produce documents that address the needs of parents.</li><li>Ability to communicate fluently, both verbally and in writing, in both English and Spanish.</li><li>Ability to read and comprehend both Spanish and English documents</li><li>Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills</li><li>Proficient in use of Microsoft Word for producing documents, including manipulation of tables and graphics</li><li>Command of the use of oral and written convention for both the English and Spanish language</li><li>Provide accurate Spanish translation of English language documents, including materials for student use and communication to parents.</li><li>Provide accurate oral translation from English to Spanish at meetings, parent phone calls, and at parent conferences.</li><li>Produce electronic versions of documents in Spanish which replicate the same aspects of Microsoft Word present in the original English version documents.</li></ul>MAJOR RESPONSIBLITIES: (No more than 12 bullets)<ul><li>Have good organization, communication, and interpersonal skills</li><li>Produce and update all necessary forms</li><li>Produce an electronic version of documents and new forms from English to Spanish</li><li>Schedule and translate at ARD/re-evaluation meetings for diagnosticians and speech pathologists</li><li>Translate any documents needed for Special Education using Microsoft Word and other computer programs</li><li>Assist with translation of phone calls from Spanish speakers to the Administration Building</li><li>Participate in home visits for translation</li><li>Provide oral translation from English to call parents for teachers and parents conferences</li><li>Assist with home visits from Community Youth Service Workers</li><li>Contact parents to schedule screenings, assessments, and ARD meetings</li><li>Contact parents for additional information</li><li>Act as a liaison between parents and various social services</li><li>Communicate the screening and assessment process to parents</li><li>Provide assistance in administering the screening and assessment tests through interpretation</li><li>Provide assistance in providing speech language therapy through interpretation</li><li>Interpret and explain procedural safeguards at ARD meetings</li><li>Describe the possible services and programs to parents provide accurate translation of English language documents including materials for student</li><li>Assist in completing paperwork</li><li>Other duties as assigned by the Special Education Director for Accountability and Related Services and/or Special Education Executive Director</li></ul>WORKING CONDITIONS:The usual and customary methods of performing this job required the following:Prolonged periods of time, sitting, moderate standing, stooping, bending, reaching and repetitive hand motions, prolonged use of computer.
