Bachelors degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field, Professional Engineer's License, 5+ years of experience, knowledge of engineering principles and practices used in the design, construction and maintenance of all types of highways, bridges and related structures. We are looking for someone who can provide high-quality transportation engineering services for clients while supporting the Project Manager and/or Client Manager.ResponsibilitiesDesign and prepare preliminary and final construction plans and specifications for highways and streets, including drainage and traffic control.Compile and analyze engineering data, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to assist in the planning of projects.Prepare reports based on data collected.Assist with creating the scope of projects.Perform engineering work on multi-disciplinary projects.Prepare permit application for various agencies.Assist with preparation of traffic control plans; perform utility coordination; perform hydrological/hydraulic studies; design drainage structures.Correspond with internal and external clients as necessary via phone, email, mail, fax.Prepare project cost estimates, bid documents, and specifications for projects.Visit construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract document.May oversee the staking, layout and inspection of construction projects.Attend client meetings; prepare meeting minutes.Perform CADD, MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer work. Work Conditions and EnvironmentTransportation Design Engineers work both in the office and out in the field. There is a moderate amount of travel to and from job sites. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. He/she must frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds or more.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Responsibilities:
SummaryThis position is responsible for securely transporting detainees between destinations and ensuring that the vehicles used for transportation activities are safe and properly maintained. Primary Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Conducts pre-trip, during-trip, and post-trip inspections of all vehicles operated. Provides written Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) at the end of each trip or shift and ensures that all potential safety defects are reported to the Transportation Supervisor.</li><li>Ensures that all permits and licenses are in order before beginning a trip. Notifies the Transportation Manager if there are problems before initiating a trip.</li><li>Ensures that vehicles have the necessary safety equipment before initiating a trip. Notifies the Transportation Manager if there are problems before initiating a trip.</li><li>Completes all necessary paperwork and reports in an accurate and thorough manner. Ensures that all reports are turned into the facility according to described policies and procedures.</li><li>Ensures that detainees are properly secured prior to leaving a facility and while in a vehicle. Ensures that all paperwork is obtained and completely accurately and thoroughly when obtaining detainees at a facility and delivering them to their appropriate destinations.</li><li>Ensures that all safety measures are followed at all time while transporting detainees, including but not limited, to all application federal, state, municipal and organizational laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Immediately contacts safety authorizations and facility management in the event of an accident. Provides detailed information, both verbally and written, to requesting authorities.</li><li>Delivers vehicles for servicing and picks them up when ready.</li><li>Performs stationary guard duties as assigned.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
 Minimum Requirements<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent certification required. Helps to develop effective and efficient solutions.</li><li>The Senior Transportation Officer reviews all vehicle inspection reports. Develops summaries for Transportation management and notes commonalities from the reports. Suggests solutions as necessary.</li><li>Ensures that all permits and licenses for all assigned vehicles are in order.</li><li>The Senior Transportation Officer verifies that vehicles have the necessary safety equipment before initiating a trip. Notifies the Transportation management if there are problems before assignments.</li><li>Properly tracks DOT HOS on Electronic Logging Devices.</li><li>The Senior Transportation Officer assists with interviewing and screening of applicant Transport Officers when required.</li><li>Reviews all necessary paperwork and reports in an accurate and thorough manner. Ensures that all reports are turned into the Transportation management according to described policies and procedures.</li><li>The Senior Transportation Officer ensures that all missions meet or exceed PBNDS/FBNDS safety measures while transporting detainees.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
