Job Summary Position provides oversight, direction and coordination for all Transportation operations and maintenance (O&M) activities at assigned jobsite to ensure adherence to contractual objectives. This role requires an individual who has excellent management skills and a deep understanding of vehicle components, maintenance requirements and WHE programs and equipment. Primary Job Functions<ul><li>Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and repairs to ensure all vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with regulations.</li><li>Oversee maintenance staff, including mechanics and technicians, and ensure proper training and scheduling of work.</li><li>Develop and maintain budgets for vehicle maintenance and repairs, and ensure costs are kept within budget limits.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and expenses, and report on these to senior management.</li><li>Identify and implement improvements to vehicle maintenance processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.</li><li>Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, including the use of personal protective equipment, safe handling of hazardous materials, and adherence to safety procedures.</li><li>Ensure all vehicles are properly licensed, registered, and ensured, and that appropriate documentation is kept up to date.</li><li>Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.</li><li>Works closely with Government personnel to ensure compliance.</li><li>Works with Navy Crane Center and Certifying officials to ensure compliance with WHE program. Ensure all WHE Technicians are properly trained.</li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate with other departments or outside vendors to arrange for the purchase, leasing, or disposal of vehicles.</li><li>Maintain professional relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other industry professionals to stay up to date on latest technology, techniques, and trends.</li><li>Oversee daily transportation operations, including fleet scheduling, routing, and dispatch.</li><li>Develop and implement cost-effective transportation strategies that improve delivery times and reduce fuel consumption.</li><li>Monitor driver performance, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.</li><li>Collaborate with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams to align transportation with broader supply chain goals.</li><li>Analyze transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of drivers, dispatchers, and mechanics.</li><li>Responsible for the safety of all personnel on job, including sub-personnel, compliance with environmental standards and quality of work performed.</li><li>Conducts training of staff, as well as safety meetings and briefings.</li><li>Maintain relationship with labor union contacts and determine how to handle grievances.</li><li>Research and address customer and employee complaints.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul> Education, Experience and Certification<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent education</li><li>5 years' experience management the same size project</li></ul> Working Conditions<ul><li>Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable. Responsibilities:
<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>May include: Intersection Improvements, Road Widening, Roundabouts, New Roadway design, Site DesignRight of Way coordination/acquisition, Boardwalks/Pedestrian Facilities, , Grading and Drainage, Traffic Signalization, Pole Foundations. Bridge Design Process</li><li>Site/civil development including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, and erosion and sediment control design.</li><li>Preparation of all associated calculations, reports, and spreadsheets.</li><li>Collaborating and managing design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.</li><li>Coordinating with client, other engineers, planners, reviewers, etc.</li><li>May also conduct code research, write specifications, and obtain permitting.</li><li>Assist with site plan approvals in the area.</li><li>Construction cost estimating.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in">Strong technical skills in hydraulic modeling and restrained joint pipe design software is a plus</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in">Uniform Act Requirements for ROW Acquisitions</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in">Utility Coordination</li></ul>

Required Skills & Required Experience:
<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in">Florida Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain reciprocity</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in">5 to 10 years’ experience of increasing levels of project and client responsibilities for public sector projects and a minimum of five (5) years related experience in general civil engineering with an emphasis on civil site design and/or highway/roadway design, as well as stormwater management/watershed analysis.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in">A successful track record of managing projects, including scope, schedule and budget</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in">Construction administration experience in municipal work is encouraged.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in">Ability to write technical proposals is a plus</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in">Strong verbal and report writing skills required</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in">Knowledge of Florida Department of Transportation specifications, policies, and procedures.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in">Use software such as Revit, GIS, Civil 3D, AutoCAD or MicroStation with Inroads and Bluebeam to assist in project design and analysis.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in">StormCAD, PondPack, SewerGEMS, for stormwater modeling.</li><li style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-top:0in">Experience with Traffic Analysis, Traffic Modeling, and application of MUTCD is encouraged.</li></ul>Join Dewberry and be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to making a positive impact on the communities we serve.
