This role is key in ensuring accurate material classification and efficient movement of ore and waste. The Underground Geologist will work closely with operations, survey, and engineering teams to perform in-mine mapping, sampling, material tracking, and data management.10–12 month project (may extend based on operational needs)Key ResponsibilitiesOre Control & Material Management<ul><li>Execute daily ore control tasks, including face sampling, muck pile sampling, and material delineation.</li><li>Classify ore vs. waste based on sampling and mapping data to guide production decisions.</li><li>Monitor tonnage movements and ensure proper routing of material to stockpiles or mill feed.</li></ul>Underground Geological Mapping & Sampling<ul><li>Conduct geological face mapping and update underground maps daily.</li><li>Collect channel/face samples and ensure proper handling, labeling, and chain of custody.</li><li>Maintain sampling quality standards and ensure accurate spatial data capture.</li></ul>Data Entry, Reporting & Interpretation<ul><li>Enter sample and geological data into digital databases and ore control software.</li><li>Compile daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.</li><li>Provide interpretations and observations that support short-term production decisions.</li></ul>Cross-Department Liaison<ul><li>Coordinate with mine operations, survey, engineering, and mill departments to support safe and efficient ore movement.</li><li>Communicate material routing plans and updates to shift supervisors and production teams.</li><li>Participate in shift handoff meetings and provide clear updates on ore control status.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field.</li><li>Previous experience in underground geology, ore control, or production geology preferred.</li><li>Strong mapping, sampling, and geological data interpretation skills.</li><li>Proficiency in digital data entry and geological/ore control software.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively cross-functionally.</li><li>Ability to work independently underground in a physically demanding environment.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.</li><li>Authorized to work in the US without work visa sponsorship.</li></ul>

First Majestic acquired the Jerritt Canyon Gold Mine from Sprott Mining Inc. on April 30, 2021. In May 2023, operations were suspended to prioritize exploration and technical studies. Jerritt Canyon is now entering a new phase of evaluation and planning, requiring substantial technical support to advance the work necessary for a potential future restart of operations.The OpportunityThe Executive Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative and operational support to senior leadership within a mining organization. This role coordinates executive schedules, manages confidential communications, supports site and corporate operations, and ensures efficient administrative processes across departments. The position often works closely with mine managers, engineering teams, safety personnel, contractors, and external stakeholders in a fast-paced industrial environment.**This is primarily a full-time position, though we are open to discussing part-time possibilities**Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage calendars, appointments, travel arrangements, and meeting schedules for executives and site leadership.</li><li>Prepare correspondence, presentations, reports, meeting agendas, and minutes.</li><li>Screen calls, emails, and visitors, prioritizing communications appropriately.</li><li>Maintain confidential files, records, and executive documentation.</li><li>Coordinate executive travel logistics, accommodations, and expense reporting.</li><li>Support day-to-day administrative functions for mining operations and corporate offices.</li><li>Assist with procurement documentation, vendor communications, and invoice processing.</li><li>Coordinate site meetings, safety briefings, training sessions, and company events.</li><li>Track action items, project deadlines, and operational reporting requirements.</li><li>Maintain inventory of office and administrative supplies.</li><li>Ensure documentation complies with company policies, mining regulations, and safety procedures.</li><li>Assist with preparing reports related to safety, environmental compliance, production, and workforce activities.</li><li>Maintain employee records, contractor documentation, and training certifications.</li><li>Support audit preparation and document control processes.</li><li>Liaise with internal departments including operations, geology, engineering, finance, HR, and health & safety.</li><li>Coordinate communications with contractors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders.</li><li>Support onboarding activities for new employees and contractors.</li><li>Compile operational data and generate spreadsheets, dashboards, and reports.</li><li>Maintain databases and filing systems for operational and administrative records.</li><li>Assist with preparation of executive summaries and monthly operational reports.</li></ul>The above responsibilities are representative and may not include all assigned duties.Education and Experience<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline preferred. </li><li style="line-height:normal">3–7 years of administrative or executive assistant experience.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Prior experience in mining, heavy industry, construction, energy, or industrial operations preferred.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Experience supporting senior executives or site management teams.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li style="line-height:normal">High attention to detail and confidentiality.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Proficiency with:<ul><li style="line-height:normal">Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)</li><li style="line-height:normal">Document management systems</li><li style="line-height:normal">ERP or procurement systems (preferred)</li></ul></li><li style="line-height:normal">Ability to work in fast-paced industrial environments.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Knowledge of mining terminology and site procedures is an asset.</li><li style="line-height:normal">Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.</li></ul>Equal Employment OpportunityThe Company is an equal employment opportunity employer committed to providing employment opportunities to employees and applicants in accordance with all applicable laws.
