Brief Summary of Job Duties: 1) Collection of plant ecophysiology data in the field and lab (plant water status, plant hydraulic efficiency), 2) Process geospatial data, 3) Assistance with coordination of field work at Santa Barbara County sites, 4) Laboratory measurements of plant hydraulics and morphology, 5) Assist in construction of laboratory equipment, 6) Execute field protocols semi-autonomously, 7) Execute laboratory protocols autonomously, 8) Data entry and QA/QC (maintain organized data, field notes, and record keeping) and 9) Assist PIs with project management, including: a. Ability to identify native and non-native plants, lead student workers, interns and volunteers, assist with plant propagation at the restoration nursery and greenhouse, conduct preparation, exotic weed control, planting, and other duties related to monitoring and education/outreach.
