WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock • Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents • Occasional high noise level in work environment • Occasional contact with aggressive and/or combative patients • Use of computers throughout the work day • Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and fingers • Repetitive motion of shoulders, arms, wrists, and hands while scanning patients • Frequent sitting with movement through department/hospital. QUALIFICATIONS: • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program • Hospital experience • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) registered or registry eligible or ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-Ultrasound) registered or registry eligible or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) registered or registry eligible • If registry eligible, MUST be registered within six months of date of hire.
