The University of Oklahoma Health is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor Pediatric Section - Department of Urology to join Oklahomas only comprehensive academic medical center. OU Health delivers advanced, patient-centered care through a multidisciplinary model that integrates clinical excellence, innovative research, and medical education. Academic AppointmentFull-time faculty position with appointment at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Urology, College of Medicine, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.  The individual filling this position may provide clinical services at the Oklahoma City and Edmond Clinics. The exact allocation of time may vary dependent upon staffing levels and needs of the institution.Required QualificationsDoctoral degree (MD or DO) with certification or board eligible for pediatric urology subspecialty certification. Fellowship trained in Pediatric Urology, experience in minimally invasive surgery, robotic laparoscopic assisted surgery, endourology and renal transplant experience is desirable. The individual must be eligible for a permanent Oklahoma State Medical License.Areas of ResponsibilityThe individual filling this position will be appointed as Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Urology. This person will function primarily in a service capacity, but the position also entails teaching and research responsibility outlined as follows.ServiceThis position requires clinical service for patient care. Responsibilities will include provision of outpatient clinic services; inpatient surgeries and supervision of residents and medical students.TeachingThe individual will participate in the teaching programs of the department including medical education, residency training and faculty development. Didactic presentations, small group discussions, problem based learning and clinical scenarios will all be part of the teaching methodologies needed.
