If youre ready to take your career to the next level and gain valuable experience, apply today!The primary role of the Healthcare Coordinator (HC) is to partner with supported Dentists to help gain a financial commitment from the patient to start the best course of treatment with urgency.Key responsibilities include:<ul><li>Understanding and utilizing financial options to support case acceptance.</li><li>Educating patients on treatment choices.</li><li>Overcoming common patient objections.</li><li>Proactively keeping Dentists schedules productive.</li></ul>The Healthcare Coordinator should support each patient in a consultative and educational manner while consistently supporting a Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and creating Patients for Life (PFL).Responsibilities<ul><li>Models company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.</li><li>Gain a financial commitment from the patient to start the dentistry that the Dentist is diagnosing for their patient.</li><li>Achieve proficiency in PDS system and tools, skills, and talents to assist patients in making the best possible decision for their unique wants and needs.</li><li>Executes the HC Handoff in partnership with each clinician on every exam patient.</li><li>Subject Matter Expert on all available financial options to give patients choices to start dentistry that fits in their budget.</li><li>Professionally overcome common patient objections to starting treatment.</li><li>Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations for patients who need this prior to completing treatment.</li><li>Ensure the office is exemplifying the Comprehensive Care Model within the offices as well as referrals outside the office.</li><li>Active participant in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings and any other meetings as required.</li><li>Thorough understanding of business imperatives and how the role directly impacts metrics and results.</li><li>Demonstrates stewardship of the PDS Brand making decisions consistent with the PDS Brand framework.</li><li>Becomes knowledgeable on the Mouth Body Connection and supports clinical excellence through comprehensive patient care.</li><li>Maintains an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies; addresses others professionally and respectfully always.</li><li>Ensures Compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.</li><li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).</li><li>Travel might be required between offices.</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>Prior course work or on-the-job training in the fields or dentistry, insurance, or business.</li></ul>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities<ul><li>Knowledge of office practices, technology applications and patient insurances.</li><li>Results Oriented (Energetic self-starter; sets realistic goals; meets commitments; persistent, prioritizes daily to achieve results).</li><li>Patient Advocate (flexible and adaptive; empathetic; passionate; ethical).</li><li>Process Focused Operator (data driven decision-maker; detailed; organized and structured; comprehensive knowledge of all operational processes; computer proficient).</li><li>Financial Acumen (understands profit drivers; utilizes metrics to manage; builds the financial understanding of team members staff and clinicians; understands local market drivers and competition).</li><li>Influencer (active listener/observer of behavior; creates a win/win need for change).</li><li>Self-motivated, reliable individual capable of working independently as well as part of a team.</li><li>Ability to multi-task effectively without compromising the quality of the work.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to handle and maintain extreme confidentially Patient records.</li><li>Organized, detail-oriented individual able to work in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Medical, dental, and vision insurance.</li><li>Paid time off.</li><li>Tuition Reimbursement.</li><li>401K.</li><li>Paid time to volunteer in your local community.</li></ul>Compensation Information
