Volunteers Needed! Meals on Wheels DriversThe Arc WayneofNewark, NY, a Human Services Agency, is recruiting Volunteers to support Wayne County's Home Meal Delivery program toprovideproperdeliveryofHomeDeliveredMeals to older residents of Wayne County.Volunteer Duties and Responsibilities: <ul><li>Attend initial program-specific training and required ongoing volunteer training.</li><li>Deliver meals to clients following established safe food handling protocols.</li><li>Complete wellness checks on clients during meal delivery.</li><li style="line-height:122%">Complete test meals as required, ensuring the results are documented and communicated appropriately.</li><li>Volunteer a minimum of one time per month if in the area.</li><li>May be asked to perform additional duties by the supervisor.</li></ul>Work Schedule: Will vary depending on your availability. Work Location: Delivery routes will be within Wayne County New York.Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li style="line-height:120%">Must possess a current, valid New York State Driver's License that meets the Agency Driver standards (Class D). </li><li style="line-height:120%">Must be physically able to complete the meal deliveries.</li></ul>ABOUT US:The Arc Wayne, a parent-based organization, advocates for and supports persons of all ages with or without disabilities. This position will assist in the facilitation, the implementation, development, and management of community schools' activities, events, programs and services that lead to healthy and successful children, strong families and a thriving community. Establishes and maintain linkages with local organizations and businesses to develop expanded learning opportunities, health and social services to support the community school's strategy.

The Center for Youth: Started BY YOUTH FOR YOUTH. We partner with youthto realize their full potential, by creating opportunities, removing barriers and promoting social justice.Overview: This position will assist in the facilitation, the implementation, development, and management of community schools' activities, events, programs and services that lead to healthy and successful children, strong families and a thriving community.Schedule: 37.5 hours per week. 12-months Monday- Friday 8am- 3:30pm. Occasional nights and weekends may be required.Location: West Irondequoit School DistrictResponsibilities:<ul><li style="line-height:normal">Partners with school to promote the community school's strategy</li><li style="line-height:normal">Establishes and maintain linkages with local organizations and businesses to develop expanded learning opportunities, health and social services to support the community school's strategy</li><li style="line-height:normal">Provides day-to-day support of community school partnerships</li><li style="line-height:normal">Plans and directs efforts to involve students and engage families in the community school strategy</li><li style="line-height:normal">Assists with designing and managing volunteer systems within the school</li><li style="line-height:normal">Assists in data collection and evaluation</li><li style="line-height:normal">Participates in capacity-building activities including initiative-wide and site-based trainings, network meetings and study visits</li><li style="line-height:normal">Works collaboratively with parent liaisons to increase family engagement at the school site</li><li style="line-height:normal">Works collaboratively with the Department of Community and Family Engagement and site-based leadership team to assure successful implementation of the community schools' strategy</li><li style="line-height:normal">Perform school-specific additional duties that respond to the emerging needs of the assigned school and that are agreed upon by the Leadership Team and CFY</li></ul> Required Qualifications: <ul><li>Associates Degree in social services, education, youth development OR Equivalent combination of experience and education / Bachelor's degree preferred</li></ul><ul><li>2 years' experience working with youth/ student/ or families</li></ul>Skills: <ul><li>Excellent Communication</li><li>Knowledge of Irondequoit Schools</li><li>Knowledge of positive youth development, asset development, risk reduction and protective factors</li></ul>Pay Rate: $22 per hour The Center for Youth Provides Equal Employment Opportunities
