Providing respite for caregivers to run errands, swap stories, and just be an affirming presence are all ways you can support the Veterans in our community. You are ESSENTIAL to the delivery of the very best hospice care for these men and women who have served our country so faithfully.

Our Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer Program seeks to pair Veteran Volunteers with hospice patients who have military experience. As a Veteran, you share a common language and culture with our Veteran hospice patients. You are ESSENTIAL to the delivery of the very best hospice care for these men and women who have served our country so faithfully. The mutual experience you share can form a strong bond that leads to healing and support for ALL involved! You are in a unique position with a very important advantage in helping other Veterans as they travel their final miles in their journey. Investing anywhere from a couple hours a month to several hours per week, our Veterans will look forward to your visits. We have regular pinning ceremonies, too, in which we celebrate the life and sacrifices of our Veteran patients. Our patients reside in private homes and nursing facilities within Franklin County, Henry County, and Martinsville.

 The Henry County Sheriff's Office is seeking volunteers to assist at the Henry County Animal Shelter. Volunteer will be responsible for a variety of tasks including cleaning/sanitizing the shelter; feeding/watering/walking animals daily; cleaning kitchen, food prep area and laundry.
