Membership Coordinator  Part-Time, Non-Exempt  Location: Radcliff Reports to: Club Director  Schedule: Monday-Friday  Compensation: $17.00 per hour    About Us  Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana (BGCK) is an out-of-school time provider, offering a safe haven for youth who need us most. Our mission is to inspire & enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize & develop their full potential as productive, responsible & caring citizens.    Essential Job Responsibilities  The Membership Coordinator operates the front desk and is responsible for the processing and maintenance of the Club’s membership records.    <ul><li>Youth Development <ul><li>Create a Club environment that supports and facilitates the achievement of the Youth Development Outcomes: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Citizenship</li><li>Provide guidance and role modeling to all Club members </li><li>Provide on-site supervision to members to ensure a healthy and safe environment </li><li>Maintain a positive outlook and attitude with members, and provide constructive feedback on their efforts and progress </li><li>Assist members in building conflict resolution skills and teach them to accept responsibility for their actions </li></ul></li><li>Administration<ul><li>Maintain the front entrance area of the Club </li><li>Provide courteous and quality customer service </li><li>Greet all individuals that enter the Club </li><li>Assist members, volunteers, guests, and staff with signing-in, as needed </li><li>Answer phones, listen to voicemails, and return calls as needed </li><li>Respond to Club emails </li><li>Process and maintain membership applications </li><li>Collect membership fees </li><li>Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Club Director, Program Director, and other Club staff as needed in a friendly and cooperative manner </li></ul></li></ul> Additional Responsibilities  <ul><li>Travel between Clubs and/or the Admin Office for trainings and meetings </li><li>All other duties as assigned </li></ul>Physical Requirements of the Work Environment  <ul><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced and loud environment </li><li>Ability to continuously stand and move around the Club </li><li>Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally </li></ul>Qualifications  <ul><li>Education <ul><li>High School degree or G.E.D. is required </li><li>College degree from an accredited college or university is preferred but not required </li></ul></li><li>Work Experience <ul><li>A minimum of one year’s work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization which includes the supervision of youth and the implementation of programs and activities </li></ul></li><li>Skills <ul><li>A passion and understanding of the mission, objectives, policies, programs, and procedures of BGCK </li><li>Ability to maintain a positive, friendly, and cooperative attitude in the workplace </li><li>High ethical standards </li><li>Strong communication skills, both oral and written </li><li>Ability to maintain professional relationships with internal staff and external partners </li><li>An understanding of the needs and interests of young people </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of computers and other office-related technology  </li></ul></li></ul>Benefits <ul><li>401(k) Participation & Matching </li><li>Paid Time Off (PTO) </li><li>Self-Care Days </li><li>12 Paid Holidays </li><li>Free Club Membership for Children of Staff </li></ul>  Our Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion  The Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type.
