Job Responsibilities: <ul><li> Confer with customers or service advisors to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements </li><li> Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment </li><li> Perform quality inspections of vehicle repairs prior to returning the vehicle to the customer </li><li> Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. </li><li> Communicate directly with the service advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Kia of St. Cloud in Waite Park, MN, is seeking Military Veterans with mechanical experience who are interested in beginning a rewarding career as an Automotive Service Technician.This position is part of the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP), a structured apprenticeship program created by Kia America to help Military Veterans transition into the automotive industry. Through this program, participants gain hands-on dealership experience while completing a one-year competency-based apprenticeship that leads to Kia Service Technician certification.VTAP provides Veterans the opportunity to work full-time at a participating Kia dealership while receiving the training, tools, and support needed to develop into highly skilled automotive technicians.
