This role is in office, M-F 8-4:30 and pays $18/hr. <br/><br/>Role and Responsibilities</h1><ul><li style="margin:1.5pt 0in 1.5pt 0.25in">Efficient processing of claims received from Medical Practices, Hospitals, and Physical Medicine offices.</li><li style="margin:1.5pt 0in 1.5pt 0.25in">Review claims for accuracy to determine correctness of claim submitted to be paid or denied based on State Work Comp FS Schedule pricing, rules and regulations.</li><li style="margin:1.5pt 0in 1.5pt 0.25in">Establishing and maintaining communication between Streamline and our provider network to assure accounts payable needs are met timely and accurately.</li><li style="margin:1.5pt 0in 1.5pt 0.25in">Assuring the accuracy of provider payments prior to issuance of payment to the provider.</li><li style="margin:1.5pt 0in 1.5pt 0.25in">Creation and review of explanation of payments to coincide with payments mailed to the provider network.</li><li style="margin:1.5pt 0in 1.5pt 0.25in">Review provider account balances to ensure payments are being made in a timely manner.</li><li style="margin:1.5pt 0in 1.5pt 0.25in">Provide resolution and information on claim status requests from our provider network.</li><li style="margin:1.5pt 0in 1.5pt 0.25in">Remains up to date with all Work Comp pricing models, rules, and regulations.</li><li style="margin:1.5pt 0in 1.5pt 0.25in">Supports Streamline’s Compliance Program by adhering to policies and procedures pertaining to HIPAA and other laws pertaining to Work Comp that are applicable to the Streamline Compliance Program. This includes being familiar with the Streamline Code of Ethics, attending training as required, notifying management when there is a compliance concern or incident.</li></ul><h1 style="margin-bottom:6pt;margin-left:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:6pt">Qualifications and Education Requirements</h1><ul><li style="margin:1.5pt 0in 0in 0.5in">High School Diploma or GED</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.5in">2+ years of health insurance claims processing, adjudication, or payables</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.5in">Answering high volume calls</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.5in">Prior claim adjudication processing would be great but not required</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.5in">Experience in a doctors office/back office</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.5in">Experience working for a health insurance carrier</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.5in">Previous payables experience a plus</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.5in">Knowledge of Accounts Payables practices, Liability insurance procedures.</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.5in">Knowledge of work comp industry and billing procedures and practices helpful</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 1.5pt 0.5in">Demonstrated success working both individually and as part of a team.</li></ul><h1 style="margin-bottom:6pt;margin-left:0in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:6pt">Preferred Skills</h1><ul><li style="margin:1.5pt 0in 0in 0.5in">Experience with Microsoft Office Products: Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 0in 0.5in">Type 60 wpm</li><li style="margin:0in 0in 1.5pt 0.5in">Experience with Adobe Acrobat</li></ul></div><div style="margin-bottom:0in;margin-left:0.5in;margin-right:0in;margin-top:0in">Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
