I have FOUR years (based on a 40 hr work week) within the last 10 years as a) an accountant, auditor, real property appraiser, building cost estimator, engineer, real estate loan agent, real estate loan underwriter, right-of-way agent, licensed building contractor; or, I have FOUR years (based on a 40 hr work week) within the last 10 years as b) a real estate licensee, licensed by the California Department of Real Estate, engaged in buying, selling, leasing, or managing real estate; or, I have FOUR years (based on a 40 hr work week) within the last 10 years as c) an appraiser aide or appraiser trainee in an assessors office or in the property taxes department of the Board; or, I have FOUR years (based on a 40 hr work week) within the last 10 years as d) an employee, other than an appraiser, appraiser aide, or appraiser trainee, of an assessors office or of the property taxes department of the Board, except that such employment time shall be limited to qualifying for only 2/3 of the four-year experience requirement. Learns to and prepares detailed worksheets; makes physical inspections of property in order to estimate a market value; learns to capitalize income, analyze market and sales data, and determine replacement costs; appraises improvements, leased equipment, machinery, fixtures, heavy construction equipment, boats, airplanes, farm and ranch equipment, and similar items to arrive at a fair market value for assessment purposes; computes value using computer spreadsheets and database applications.
