<h3>Description</h3> <div>Schedule: Part time | 20 hours/week | Varies but must be available to work evenings and weekends based on event schedules  Location: Chelsea Retirement Community | Chelsea, MI What You'll Do:  As the Chapel & Performing Arts Center Coordinator, you’ll help bring meaningful events and programs to life for residents, guests, performers, and community partners. You’ll support the coordination of chapel and auditorium events, assist with day-of logistics, and help create a welcoming, organized experience from start to finish.</div><div>This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys live events, is comfortable with basic audio/visual support, and thrives in a role that combines organization, people skills, and behind-the-scenes coordination.</div> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <ul><li>Coordinate Events – Assist with planning and coordinating chapel and auditorium events, including performances, lectures, screenings, and community programs.</li><li>Support Front-of-House Operations – Help manage audience seating, event flow, and resident/guest support during programs.</li><li>Assist Performers & Speakers – Serve as a point of contact for performers, speakers, and event partners before and during events.</li><li>Manage Event Setup & Breakdown – Support room setup, basic staging needs, and post-event cleanup or reset.</li><li>Provide Basic Audio/Visual Support – Assist with microphones, projectors, lighting basics, and other event-related equipment.</li><li>Troubleshoot During Events – Provide calm, on-site support when issues arise to help events run smoothly.</li><li>Maintain a Welcoming Environment – Ensure residents, guests, performers, and team members experience a safe, professional, and organized event space.</li><li>Support Event Promotion – Work with marketing team members to help promote upcoming events and publish programming schedules.</li></ul><div>The above is a summary of the position, it in no way states or implies that these are the only duties this position will be required to perform. Own assessments: Conduct First Training Assessments, set big sport-specific goals, and foster relationships that drive long-term retention. Responsibilities Foster a motivating 1-on-1 environment, maximize retention with top-tier service, adapt movements safely to each sport, prioritize perfect technique, and reduce injury risk—all while delivering personalized training for football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, soccer, or track & field athletes. What You Bring to the Team Certifications (Required): AED/CPR/First Aid + at least one of: NSCA-CSCS, NSCA-CPT, NASM-CPT/PES, USAW-Level 1. Level 1 Certified the D1 Way. Experience: 1+ year in strength & conditioning, sport-specific training, or personal training (group or team experience is a plus, but this role is 1-on-1 only). Education: Bachelor’s in Exercise Science or related field (preferred). You: High-energy, extroverted leader passionate about training athletes in football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, soccer, or track & field. Expert in strength, speed, agility, position-specific skills, and nutrition. Team player who adapts, organizes, and thrives on a flexible schedule based on client needs—typically evenings and weekends.
