SUMMARY:Production Operatorsare responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and sanitizing our production lines. SHIFT TIMES:Our Weekend Nights Production Operators are scheduled to work three 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday. Currently, the start times available are 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:<ul><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Directly work with the Production Lead/Supervisor to ensure that the bar and/or granola lines are running properly</li><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Operate production line equipment including, but not limited to, industrial mixers, scales, printer labelers, ovens, cooling tunnels, high-speed packaging machinery and various other equipment related to food production</li><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Accurately measure and prepare food ingredients by following written recipes</li><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Ensure packaging materials are set up according to customer specifications</li><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Perform sanitation of production equipment, parts, and the surrounding environment</li><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Accurately record documentation to verify compliance with all required quality specifications and procedure checks for the assigned area</li><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Report all safety concerns immediately to direct supervisor(s) upon discovery</li><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Troubleshoot machinery as needed</li><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Work collaboratively with peers and leadership</li><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Follow all safety, quality and GMP requirements of the position</li><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Other special projects as assigned</li></ul> ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Must be detailed oriented</li><li>The ability to work independently by utilizing all trained processes and procedures with minimal supervision</li><li>Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division</li><li>Able to receive, digest and implement constructive feedback provided by leadership</li><li>Experience in food manufacturing, or production, is preferred but no required</li><li>Forklift experience is an asset, but not a requirement</li><li>The ability to speak, read and write English fluently as it pertains to fulfilling the job requirements</li></ul> PHYSICAL DEMANDS<ul><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Standing and walking for up to 12 hours</li><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Able to lift and carry 25 to 50 lbs. </li><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Able to push/pull more than 1,000 lbs. using pallet jack</li><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Able to continually bend, stoop, twist, and use of arms, wrists, and hands (including grasping and squeezing) throughout shift</li><li style="color:#000000;line-height:normal;background:#ffffff">Able to occasionally kneel, reach above the shoulder, work at heights, and climb stairs with ingredients weighing 25 to 50 lbs.</li></ul> Northern Gold Foods is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
