<h3>Description</h3><br/><div><strong>Schedule:</strong> Part time | 20 hours/week | Varies but must be available to work evenings and weekends based on event schedules<strong> <br/>Location: </strong>Chelsea Retirement Community | Chelsea, MI<br/><br/><strong>What You'll Do: <br/></strong>As the <strong>Chapel & Performing Arts Center Coordinator</strong>, you’ll help bring meaningful events and programs to life for residents, guests, performers, and community partners. You’ll support the coordination of chapel and auditorium events, assist with day-of logistics, and help create a welcoming, organized experience from start to finish.</div><div>This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys live events, is comfortable with basic audio/visual support, and thrives in a role that combines organization, people skills, and behind-the-scenes coordination.</div><br/><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><br/><ul><li><strong>Coordinate Events</strong> – Assist with planning and coordinating chapel and auditorium events, including performances, lectures, screenings, and community programs.</li><li><strong>Support Front-of-House Operations</strong> – Help manage audience seating, event flow, and resident/guest support during programs.</li><li><strong>Assist Performers & Speakers</strong> – Serve as a point of contact for performers, speakers, and event partners before and during events.</li><li><strong>Manage Event Setup & Breakdown</strong> – Support room setup, basic staging needs, and post-event cleanup or reset.</li><li><strong>Provide Basic Audio/Visual Support</strong> – Assist with microphones, projectors, lighting basics, and other event-related equipment.</li><li><strong>Troubleshoot During Events</strong> – Provide calm, on-site support when issues arise to help events run smoothly.</li><li><strong>Maintain a Welcoming Environment</strong> – Ensure residents, guests, performers, and team members experience a safe, professional, and organized event space.</li><li><strong>Support Event Promotion</strong> – Work with marketing team members to help promote upcoming events and publish programming schedules.</li></ul><div><em>The above is a summary of the position, it in no way states or implies that these are the only duties this position will be required to perform. Overview:
<p style="margin:0px">The <strong>C</strong><strong>oncessions Worker</strong> prepares and serves concession items to guests. Prepares and pours beverages and serves them to guests. Ensures quality of food presentation. Utilizes a cash register and accepts payment. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.</p><p style="margin:0px"> </p><p style="margin:0px">This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00-$16.00 and is tip eligible.</p><p style="margin:0px"> </p><p style="margin:0px"><strong>Benefits for part-time roles: 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching.</strong></p><p style="margin:0px"> </p><p style="margin:0px"><strong>This position will remain open until July 31, 2026.</strong></p>

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Conduct the cash register sales by taking orders, building orders, and completing the transaction.</li><li>Build orders, prepare food, and have knowledge of all areas in the concessions operations.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels and communicating low-stock items to the concessions stand manager.</li><li>Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes.</li><li>Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, responsibly. Must check guest’s ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for purchase of alcoholic beverages.</li><li>Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred.</li><li>Three or more months’ experience in the food service industry preferred.</li><li>Previous cash handling experience preferred.</li><li>Ability to learn to handle cash and learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.</li><li>Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.</li></ul>
