Overview
Responsible for the provision of clinical pharmacy services for patients receiving treatment within his/her assigned area. Pharmacists are aligned with a medical service or group of patients based on a geographical area within the hospital and/or UF Clinics. Actively participates in relevant education and research activities.Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:<ul><li>Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy.</li><li>PharmD or equivalent education and hospital training / experience required.</li><li>PGY1 residency preferred.</li><li>PGY2 residency highly preferred.</li><li>Two years pharmacy experience in an organized health care setting preferred.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to interact with supervisors, peers, support personnel and students.</li><li>Demonstrated understanding of general hospital and ambulatory operations.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to integrate clinical services, education and research activities.</li></ul>Licensure/Certification/Registration:<ul><li>Registered pharmacist in Florida or eligible for same.</li></ul>Additional Requirement:<ul><li>Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose.</li></ul>"As a condition of employment within the Pharmacy Services Department of Shands Hospital all employees must be accessible by telephone.
