This role will assist the Operations Manager with various tasks including greeting camper families, providing golf cart rides from point A to point B on camp property, assisting with administrative tasks, making deliveries around camp, providing general directions to guests, and anything needed by the Operations team. Ability to relate positively, influentially, and sensitively to a broad spectrum of persons in a variety of multi-tiered relationships and settings to include but not limited to customers (students and parents), co-workers, peers, and board members.

This position is critical to the ministry of Sky Ranch and contributes directly to our mission of leading youth and families to know and follow Christ. The Operations Specialist serves in a support role assisting day-to-day Camp Operations. This role will assist the Operations Manager with various tasks including greeting camper families, providing golf cart rides from point A to point B on camp property, assisting with administrative tasks, making deliveries around camp, providing general directions to guests, and anything needed by the Operations team.  To accomplish these goals, the Operations Specialist will need to have a passion for organization and logistics as well as have strength in ensuring high guest satisfaction and safety.  ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Safety and Compliance:  <ul><li>Greeting campers and guests </li><li>Providing directions on camp and escorting guests to their destinations on camp </li><li>Driving courtesy golf carts around camp, meeting all safety requirements </li><li>Manage gates and serve as the contact person </li><li>Assist staff and guests </li><li>Meet or exceed ACA, OSHA, state and other industry standards </li><li>Assist Camp Works department which includes package/mail collection and delivery, camper photos, surveys, and lost & found</li></ul>  OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  <ul><li>Maintain compliance with Sky Ranch’s employee policies and procedures. </li><li>Maintain compliance with all state and federal laws and ACA regulatory requirements. </li><li>Perform other duties as required. </li></ul> QUALIFICATIONS:  EDUCATION  <ul><li>None required</li></ul>  EXPERIENCE  <ul><li>Minimum one year of camp or retreats experience required</li></ul> KNOWLEDGE <ul><li>Basic working knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This includes meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction. </li><li>Proficient working knowledge and ability to use various office software including, but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.  Basic internet and social media skills. </li><li>Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.</li></ul> SKILLS AND ABILITIES <ul><li>Ability to relate positively, influentially, and sensitively to a broad spectrum of persons in a variety of multi-tiered relationships and settings to include but not limited to customers (students and parents), co-workers, peers, and board members. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality. </li><li>Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members. </li><li>Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions. </li><li>Ability to communicate the vision of Sky Ranch to both internal and external customers. </li><li>Ability to speak, read, and write proficiently in English.  Ability to speak clearly and be understood in face to face interactions; to articulate with accuracy on the telephone and through e-mail.  Excellent listening skills. </li><li>Excellent, professional written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to deal with complex situations or issues and make effective, timely and appropriate decisions. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building skills. </li><li>Professionalism in the workplace to include professional and accurate communication with others. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task and manage a variety of tasks. </li></ul> OUTSIDE CONTACTS  <ul><li>Guests and vendors</li></ul> EQUIPMENT AND PROPERTY  <ul><li>Vehicles, golf carts and camp equipment</li></ul> PHYSICAL DEMANDS <ul><li>Much physical effort required on a routine basis; ability to use up to 50 pounds of force frequently. </li><li>Ability to grasp, push, pull, carry or otherwise manipulate objects; ability to perform tasks requiring action of muscles or groups of muscles and foot and/or hand-eye coordination. </li><li>Work requires a lot of physical agility for doing majority of assigned work, including but not limited to: bending for items below or reaching for items above the individual; crawling under desks; stooping, and climbing step stools or ladder.  </li></ul> WORK ENVIRONMENT  <ul><li>Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and especially Sundays. </li><li>Works primarily outdoors with some indoor, office environment intermittently. </li><li>Must be able to drive a car and golf cart.</li></ul>  OTHER  Commitment to Christian principles and teachings both professionally and personally.  Must be able to fully support Sky Ranch’s Doctrinal Statement.
