That being said a proven ability to understand written and verbal instruction is needed.• Physical: Must be able to work any area of the store when needed and to operate a computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES::<ul><li>The hours for this part-time position are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 4P to 9PM.</li><li>Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and ringing their sales.</li><li>Demonstrates an understanding of the products we sell.</li><li>Uses Point of Sale system/cash register to ring up gasoline, cigarettes, beer, wine and other purchases and computes the amount of the bill. Collects payment from guests and makes change. </li><li>Performs Cash-In/Out Procedure- accounting for all forms of money, during the shift.</li><li>Fill cigarettes and tobacco, stock store shelves as needed, fill coolers with back stock.</li><li>Checks and empties inside and outside trash receptacles each shift worked</li><li>Breaks down boxes and places them in recycling.</li><li>Manages coffee service including set up and break down depending on shift worked.</li><li>Cleans and maintains all areas of the store to promote a clean image. Maintain public restrooms.</li><li>Maintains a professional appearance and grooming standards. </li><li>Performs light paperwork duties as assigned.</li><li>Completes State of Vermont liquor training course as directed.</li><li>Check IDs in accordance with State of Vermont regulations.</li></ul>ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:Complimentary hot coffee and tea, and one hot or cold food item from our in-house deli.Paid sick time policy (based on State of Vermont guidelines)Paid vacation policy (available for part-time employees after completing one year of service)Alpine Mart is a Mobil gas station and convenience store located on Mountain Rd in Stowe, VT.
