The Echocardiographer performs cardiac ultrasound exams of high clinical and diagnostic quality. Compiles quantitative information for final analysis and interpretation by medical staff physician.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Performs thorough patient assessment to ensure appropriate patient care.</li><li>Confirms appropriate indication, patient identification and preparation for exam. Obtains thorough patient history. Compliance 100%.</li><li>Coordinates and collaborates with other healthcare professionals, patient and family to optimize care.</li></ul>Position Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications<ul><li>Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association is required upon start.</li><li>One of the following is required:</li><li>Licensed in Sonography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI)</li><li>Licensed in Sonography by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with Subspecialty as Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)</li><li>Licensed in Cardiovascular by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) with a Subspecialty in Sonography (RCS CCI)</li><li>If the license by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) is in transition of renewal, the certification part of the license may need to be verified by the appropriate national agency (ARRT, ARDMS, ARMRIT, CCI, or NMTCB).</li></ul>Please Note<ul><li>If hired with Sonography license only, specialty registration (RDMS) must be obtained within 6 months of hire.</li><li>OBMI Temporary License in respective specialty may be considered.
