Overview:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) will work under the general supervision of their Medical Director, all physician partners, and their APP Manager, in WakeMed Physician Practices to deliver competent medical care to patients at WakeMed. This position can consist of both inpatient and outpatient care depending on the needs of the service and is outlined in the clinical job expectations. This may include completion of referrals, consults, daily patient rounds, daily notes, discharge summaries, procedures, clinic notes, pre and post procedure care, prescribing and patient care follow-ups. Will work closely with other healthcare providers in a collaborative multidisciplinary approach to maximize the care we provide to our patients. As a healthcare professional, will function as an educator for PA/NP/CNM/DO students from healthcare education programs. Within this position the NP/PA will maintain the scope of practice to be consistent with the policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines governed by the North Carolina Medical Board, Nursing Board and any other federal or state regulatory agencies, as well as the policies and procedures of WakeMed. Additional certifications such as Advanced Life Support may be required based on clinical area of practice, this will be outlined in the clinical job expectations and reviewed annually during the annual review process. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is also vital for success in this role.  You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores. </li><li>Holiday support: Hallmark's operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you can expect additional days and extended hours during the work week. On occasions like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Father's Day, you may be required to work on the actual holiday itself, which may include the weekend.</li><li>Department Resets: At times, you may be part of a team responsible for installations and various tasks like building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, as well as resetting card sections.
