REQUIRED: Master's in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Home Economics/Family and Consumer Studies with a specialization in Child Development/Early Childhood Education or Educational Psychology with a specialization in Child Development/Early Childhood Education OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in Social Work, Educational Supervision, Elementary Education, Special Education, Psychology, Bilingual/Bicultural Education, Life Management/Home Economics, Family Life studies or Family and Consumer studies OR the equivalent; OR a fully satisfied (Life) California Community College Instructors Credential in Nursery School and Pre-school Education, or Professional Education. Our academic and career education program prepares students through coursework and practical experience to work with young children and their families in a variety of roles and settings, and provides coursework to meet certificate, state permit, and Child Development and Early Childhood Education for Transfer Major requirements.
